Party Time

So as usual, we have been busy over the last few weeks. But here is what we have been up to.
Yesterday we went to a party for our friend Tristan who just turned 2. It was Safari themed and Ais got her own Safari hat.

Aisling got to color, she got an elephant tattoo, drank from an elephant cup and of course played like a little monkey. She was up and down the stairs on the swing set at Tristan's house. We tried to get her to go in the bounce house, but it really freaked her out. Not yet, I guess.

She did have a ton of fun playing with the balloons though. She loves balloons!!!

We've also had a couple of visits to Grandma's house. Aisling had a great time with Grandma blowing bubbles.

And she even rode on Uncle Mike's rocking horse.

And this weekend Uncle Mike is in from Florida. Aisling still loves her Uncle. Uncle Mike is teaching Aisling to juggle, well sort of. Aisling thinks it is hysterical especially when he drops all the balls. Of course now she keeps asking me to juggle for her. Thanks Mike!!!

We also have a new baby cousin in the family. Tommy and Celine had a baby girl on Saturday night. So congrats to them.

Labor Day

Well, we had planned to go camping this past weekend, but mother nature had other plans for us. We packed Aisling into the car met up with The Wilhelmis and headed to Big Bear. By the time we got there it was pouring Cats and Dogs and there was lots of lightening. So we knew camping wasn't an option. So we headed to lunch where the girls got to sit at the head of the table together.

They were so cute sitting next to each other. By the time we had finished lunch we noticed a big fire in the mountain that was started by lightening. So after a quick stop at the visitor center we tried to head out only to find the 18 closed. So a stop at the gas station and a call to Uncle Barry for directions, and we headed out the back way through redlands. It was actually a very scenic drive down, but also a longer one. Ais did pretty good the whole day considering she didn't even nap. It was a huge bummer to have to come home, but we made the best of the rest of the weekend.

On Saturday we headed to The Wilhelmi's to get some play time in, albeit not in the mountains. Rhiannon had bought this awesome splash pool for the girls to play in and they had a great time sliding down the slide and getting splashed. Aisling liked to drink the water that was spouting out of the mat. It was so funny.

On Sunday we went to the beach with Greg and Sienna. It was so crowded (as seen below) and still hot, but we had a great time.

Aisling loves to play in the sand. She also loves the waves and she would laugh so hard every time one splashed her good. She is quite the little water baby.
