Christmas

Aisling celebrated her 2nd Christmas ever. It was a marathon, but was so fun. She was really into Christmas this year. She would say Ho Ho Ho every time she saw a picture of Santa, she said hi and bye to the Christmas tree every time she left or entered the room. She even blew kisses at it. And of course there were the presents. She loved opening presents and playing with the ribbon especially. She loves all her new toys too and has been busy at home trying them all out. It was a really nice holiday season this year and I can only imagine what next year's will be like with another little one to share in the fun. Below are some pictures from all the festivities.

On Christmas Eve we started our Christmas Extravaganza at Grammy and Grandpa's.

Carly and I helped Ais open her first present.

Then Aisling helped Daddy open his present.

And then she helped Uncle Allen open his present. Notice a pattern. She was a present opening fiend.

After presents, play, lunch and then something that almost resembled a nap, it was off to Nana's for the family Christmas Eve celebration. Ais showed off her new dress.

And made sure everyone was good opening their presents.

After all the presents were opened Aisling retired to the other room to don her PJ's and have a snack. Then it was off home to wait for Santa Claus.

On Christmas day we made the trek to Aunt Lea's house for more Christmas fun. Ais was pretty grumpy, I think maybe a little overwhelmed by all the hub-bub, but she did perk up to open presents of course.

Here she is playing with her popper toy. Apparently they used to be made of wood, but I just can't picture what that would look like. But all the grandparent's and great-grandparents recalled this memory fondly.

On to New Years. New Years Eve was pretty uneventful. I of course fell asleep, but Brian woke me up to watch the ball drop and to see the horror that Dick Clark has become. And then it was back to sleep and up on New Years day for Aebel Skeevers and of course more presents.

To continue the theme. Here is Ais helping Benjamin open his present.

Here she is showing Arianwen how to play with her present.

And here she is with ridiculously cute baby Benjamin. She really liked him a lot and kept giving him kisses. She also liked his bippy and kept trying to take it and then shove it back in his mouth. She was pretty good with him so let's hope it is a good sign that she will handle being a big sister well. I know she will.....

Here is Ais at her new spot at the table. We got her a booster seat that attaches to the chair and cleared out her highchair until baby #2 needs it. She is so excited to be at the table. She loves to color at the table too. Apparently her New Year's resolution is to be a big kid. She is growing up so fast. She is now 21 months old and talking a lot and getting more coordinated every day.

As for baby #2, he/she is doing well. I am still fighting the morning sickness at 20 weeks. But other than that I feel pretty good. We have reached the halfway point, which is really exciting. January 8th is our big ultra sound and hopefully we will get to see if this one is a boy or girl. Keep your fingers crossed that our baby doesn't keep his/her legs crossed so we can find out the gender.
