A New Nest.
We signed the papers today and we are officially heading down the escrow brick road. We got our first place. It's a nice townhouse up in the Burbank hills. Pictures to come soon.

I have always heard that pregnant women have a greater sense of smell, but I don't think I ever realized exactly what that meant. Now I am fully aware. I never knew that there were so many smells wafting around all the time and lots of them are not so pleasant. I swear I smelled burnt vitamin flavored microwave popcorn walking into work the other day. And I can now tell you what kind of shampoo someone uses just by walking past their open office doorway.
Well, both families have officially been informed. And boy does news travel fast on Brian's side. Uncle Alex calls it the PBS network (Protz broadcasting System) and let me assure you it works fine. We had a pleasant day of congratulations and had lots of happy screams and hugs. I can assure you that this baby will have lots of love from both families. Thanks for all the support. Our little family is very grateful.
OK, today was a new record in sleepiness. I tucked myself into bed for a quick nap around 7 pm, woke up around 8pm, moved to the couch and instantly fell back asleep for another couple of hours. So much for a brief nap. Brian was in charge of waking me up for my 10 o'clock TV commitment. What would I do without him. :) He's a real trooper. It's amazing how much energy the baby takes up. I am sooooo tired all the time.
Yes, the joys of early pregnancy are starting to hit me hard. I am super tired all the time, things are sore, my brain is useless and lord help me if I even look at a burritto. I am currently obsessed with wheat thins at the moment. I think they may be the world's most perfect food. Luckily the morning sickness hasn't shown up yet, but I am so tired I can hardly make it through the day and I am usually sound asleep by 8pm, thank goodness for Tivo.
We are now in week 4 and we are trying to find someone to care for our little one who we have now named Lil' beans. He/she is about the size of a poppy seed right now.
We are pregnant. I took the test this morning and it came out with a big fat positive. I had a feeling we might be pregnant so I had decided to wait until this morning to take the test. I didn't sleep a wink. I finally got out of bed at 5:00 am, after having been wide awake since 3 am waiting for the sun to rise, and took the test. To not so much of a surprise for me it was positive. I instantly began to sob with joy. Once I regained control of my brain, I got ready for stage 2, telling Brian.
