Christmas 2009
OK, so it is almost February and I am just getting around to updating the blog about Christmas. So busy, is an understatement, we have been insanely busy and I am lucky if I get to check my computer every other day. Between preschool, gymboree, dance class, Physical therapy, pastry school, gym and checking in with friends and family every so often, I feel like I hardly have any time these days.
Anyway, The kids are doing great. Xander is almost 20 months old and just getting smarter and more grown up every day. He is talking lots now and can say Choo Choo Train (well he calls it Chee), Car, tree, bubbles, ball, balloon, Daddy, Mama, Grandma and is saying more every day. He is coming out of his shell too and has been less clingy and willing to explore the world a bit more. He does have his moments still when he grabs onto my legs so tight I can hardly move, like nearly anytime I try and make a meal for the kids, but at least he is staying in the gym daycare for a full hour now and is more friendly to people. He has given up the booster chair at the table and is sitting in a regular old chair. He loves bananas these days and pretty much nothing else. He would eat 3 a day if I let him. He wants to hold the banana all by himself now and is mad if I try and cut it up. He is pretty picky with everything else and hardly eats a thing (can be really frustrating). He is only 29 pounds and so tall, my skinny guy. He loves loves loves choo choo trains, cars, as well as leggos and books. His favorite book is still Goodnight Moon. He wants to read it every night.
Aisling is a busy preshooler too and is having a great time with her class mates. She is in dance class which she loves and will even have a recital in May. She gets measured next week and I can't wait to see her little costume. She started Physical Therapy this month to help her with her toe walking. She has a great time there and loves her therapist Larissa. It is basically a gymboree and she plays for the whole hour. Poor Xander has to sit in a little observation room with me, but I bring him a bag full of special toys and with puffs and an ipod as back up we make it through the session. She loves doing projects and playing with Playdoh. Both of which she does at preschool. She also likes to play in the sand yard and singing time at school. The kids are always singing when we pick them up and Ais is always standing up and belting it out as loud and enthusiastically as she can. Xander always loves to give her a hug when he sees her when we pick her up. They are so cute together and are really playing together well. They love to play chase and Xander loves to tackle Ais.
Here are some pics from our busy holiday and the New Year.
