Heads Down was Fun

Well, heads down was fun for me, but apparently not for Alex. I just came from the midwives and they confirmed that he is head up again. I had a feeling that he had flipped last night by the way and where he was kicking. Ugh!!!! He just so doesn't want to stay in the proper position. So at this point, we are scheduled for an External Version and then induction on May 7th. There is a chance he will flip back and they will send us home on the 7th, the other possibilities are that 1) They will do the version and send us home. 2) They will do the version and then induce right away, and 3) They will do the version and there is a complication and there will be an emergency C-section. I am really thinking and hoping that the version will work and I will be induced. Susan my favorite midwife will be there that day too so I am hopeful that things will work out and she will deliver this kid naturally. Needless to say I am a bit frustrated and just ready for this pregnancy to be over and to have my healthy baby. This has been a loooooong pregnancy!!!!!

Surprise Weekend

This last weekend we surprised Brian with a night at the Disneyland hotel and breakfast with the family. We were celebrating Brian's big 3-0 birthday a week early. We wanted to make sure to do it a bit early in case Alex makes an early arrival. We had a great time, Brian got to run through the park at night with his brother and Dad hitting all the big kid rides. In the morning he took Ais in to go on some of her favorite rides. I hung back at the hotel with the girls. It was way too hot and too much walking for me at this point. Even having taken it easy on Saturday and Sunday morning, I had some serious Braxton Hicks contractions paired with back pain. I pretty much thought I was going into labor, but alas I am still pregnant.

Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Brian and Ais say hi to Mickey at the hotel.

Ais with Minnie Mouse. She was in character heaven at brunch on Sunday.

Ais and Pluto. Pluto played with her for a long time and Ais was so happy and excited to play with her buddy.

36 weeks

Just came from the midwives, I am going every week from this point on. It was a great appointment because we found out Alex is head down now. Yay!!! No more chiropractors, Accupuncture or standing on m head (figuratively). I had done so many exercises even Aisling was dong them with me and would always say "put your head down Alex". So now let's just hope he stays head down and we can go for a natural birth again. Now the big question is, will he come before Mother's day, or will I get my Aunt Lea quiche????? Hmmm hard to decide which I want more, that quiche is really good.

Aisling's 2nd Bday Party

This past Sunday we celebrated Aisling's birthday at Travel Town. Aisling had a great time playing with her little friend's and seeing the Choo-Choo trains. It was really really hot, but we all had a good time. We had lots of family and friends there to celebrate and Ais got to ride the train with a bunch of her buddies. I still can't believe she is 2.

Here are some pictures:

Aisling and Sabrina wearing their clown noses. The two girls are so cute together and really have fun together.

Aunt Angie, Aunt Joan and Grammy wearing their clown noses.

Aisling's birthday cake. She tried to blow out the candle and almost did it on her own, next year for sure.

Daddy helps Ais open the presents. She got so many cute and fun things. She wanted to open every one of them right there on the spot.

Ais with her new and first pet from Norma. She calls it Moma fish and is absolutely n love and fascinated by the fishy. She always wants to see him and we have to have it visibile at all times.

34 weeks

We just hit 34 weeks and had a midwife appointment today. They confirmed he was still breech, which I knew because of how much he kicks my cervix. Yeooow!!!!! He isn't frank breech anymore, so hopefully he will be easier to turn now. So back to the exercises and I'm going to call the chiropractor they recommend and let's keep the head down vibes flowing. We have a 2 week deadline till I have to schedule a version to try and turn him from the outside. What's the deal with my kids and them not liking to be head down.

The Big 2

Today Aisling turns 2 years old. I can't even believe it!!! She is turning into quite the little kid and is just so much fun. Her day started off with balloons, presents and pancakes with Mommy and Daddy. Aisling loved her balloons and the play kitchen we got her was a hit. She put on her little apron and started to pretend to cook. It was so cute. She also got a toy cash register too which she really liked.

Aisling and I went to tea today with her friends Benjamin and Arianwen, and their Mommy's of course. It was so fun. All the kids did so good at tea. Then we walked around the garden, Benj and Arianwen fell asleep, so the birthday girl went and explored the children's garden. She loved it, especially the water fountains. It was so much fun and a great way to spend her birthday day. She is really into singing too and sang Row Your Boat throughout the gardens. Tonight we plan on having a cupcake with 2 candles on it to end her big day.

Uncle Mike was also in town over the weekend. Ais has so much fun with him. They really have a blast together. He could seriously be a nanny if he wanted. He was a great help, and made the transition from Working Mom to Stay at Home Mom a bit easier for me. My last day at work was Friday. It has been a great week and I feel so less stressed already now if only the nausea would go away.

Anyway, here are all the pictures.
