Drum-roll please

The official results are in. It's a girl. A spunky little girl. She was quite photogenic at her ultra sound today and we got some fun pictures. Everything looks great and she was kicking and squirming all over the place. We even caught her in the act of kicking my bladder, I knew it!!!! So prepare for tea parties and dress up and a good healthy dose of tom boy ventures too like her dear old mother.

And as for a name. Her first name will be Aisling (pronounced ash-ling). We are still undecided on a middle name. Perhaps something Scandinavian that doesn't sound like someone coughing or is too weird.

It's twin boys!!!!

Surprised??? Well you should because I am just kidding. It turns out my ultra sound is tomorrow instead of today. D'oh!!!! This morning I double checked my appointment card for the time and it turns out I not only had the wrong time, but the wrong date as well. Call it pregnancy brain I guess. Ah well, one more day of waiting I guess. I'll post the official results tomorrow.

Movin'

We moved into the new townhouse this weekend. Thanks to the help of friends, family and a few movers from Allied, it all went pretty smooth. The place is going to be great, at the moment it looks like a Uhaul truck exploded in the living room, but once things settle in I think it should be pretty cozy and comfy. There is still lots to do, and we are kind of roughing it right now without hot water or a toilet upstairs, which by the way is a huge concern to a woman who has a baby who likes to play kickball with her bladder at 2 am.

Our first night there went pretty well, except again for the missing upstairs toilet and the thermostat being set to a glacial 50 degrees. Even Brian was cold getting out of bed (which was a mattress on the floor, by the way). He said it was like camping. I even had to bring my clothes under the covers to warm them up before I even considered putting them on and getting out of bed. We survived. We still have no major appliances aside from a fridge donated by my Aunt and Uncle, but the rest should arrive this week and hopefully by next week things will be calming down.

Continuing on the topic of Moving, I felt the baby's first movements this week. It is still slight, but I know for sure there is something in there besides mass amounts of chocolate, did I mention my sweet tooth has come back recently? I also can eat pretty normally again and the sickness seems to have vanished.

This Thursday we get to find out if it's barbies or tonka trucks for baby. Hopefully, Lil' Bean will cooperate and we'll be able to find out the gender.

More to come Thursday morning.

P.S. Hi Tina and Tristan, I hope the 2am feeding is going well. :)

Those super models are on to something.

Just got back from our 4 month checkup. I didn't gain a single pound this month. I guess all that morning sickness paid off in one way. Lil' Bean looks great. The heart is beating away. It took a while to find the heart beat, I think she must have been swimming laps or playing hide and seek. But she eventually cooperated and we got to hear the most beautiful sound in the world, her little heart pumping away. It was so much stronger this time too, really defined. We also scheduled an appointment for an ultra-sound in two weeks. If we are lucky, we will be able to see for sure if Lil' Bean is a she or a he. So far the pool is leaning heavily toward girl although Nathan took a stand apart and is saying boy. We'll let you know on the 20th.

Baby K out on the town

Baby K made her first appearance at a Hollywood shin-dig on Saturday. We all went to the Chicken Little wrap party. And aside from being sick right before we left for the party, we all had a great time. The movie looks great and I think it will be a big hit.

We also got the keys to our new townhouse on Sunday. Lots of big milestones for our little family. The place looks so huge now that the previous cluttered occupants have left. We are excited to have everyone up for a visit in the near future once we are all settled.
