15 months old / Preschool time

Xander is 15 months old!!!! And Aisling is about to start preschool!!!!! Holy Moly, how did this happen???

Xander is doing great. He is a real boy and into everything. I used to tape the trash can lids shut until he figured out how to take the tape off, so now I just have to watch him to make sure he doesn't throw any toys or sippy cups away. He loves to climb on everything and is really getting fast at getting where he wants. He has become a bit more picky with his eating of late and is not afraid to tell you he doesn't like something by turning his plate over and dumping everything on the floor, which Lady loves. He is talking his own little language alot and likes to pretend to talk on the phone. He is signing lots of words and saying more and more too. At his 15 month appointment he measured 33 inches tall and 24.8 pounds. He is doing great and aside from just getting over the flu which we all have at some state right now, he is healthy as can be. He is about to go down to one nap a day. I was hoping he would wait another month or two, but he is ready. He still is a big Momma's boy and does not like going to the baby care center at the gym still. Luckily he is good for his Grandma's and Daddy, but not too sure of new people watching him yet.

Aisling is getting ready to start preschool. Last week we met her teacher Mrs. Wernstrum. She was really nice and made Aisling feel right at home. She loved her new class room and is very excited to start school. She is supposed to go tomorrow, but I think she will not be well enough to go. She just came down with the flu yesterday. She had her last swim class for the summer too. She is switching to dance class this week. She had a great time with swim class and made a good friend Rachel. She really improved alot too over the summer. She is good at blowing bubbles under water and swimming with a noodle. She still does not like to jump into the water, but she does it. It is so cute to see her in her swim class, and I can't wait to see her in her dance class. Again because of her flu and also the smoke in La Canada from the fire, I don't think she will start this week.

Our other new addition Lady is doing well too. She is getting very comfy in her new house and is fitting right in. The kids both love her and she is very good with them. Xander and Ais both love to give her hugs and pets.

Here are some pics from the last few weeks.

A new Kesinger

No No No.... Not the human kind, but the doggie kind. We adopted a super sweet doggy today from Beagles and buddies an awesome rescue organization.

Her name is Lady and she is a cocker spaniel/ doxie mix. She is 4 years old and just the sweetest little thing with the cutest little doggy smile. The kids both love her and she is so good with them. She already seems like one of the family and is making herself at home.

San Diego

We took a wonderful trip to San Diego a few weeks ago. We went with Grammy, Grandpa and Uncle Allen and went to Legoland and the zoo. It was so fun and the kids had a great time. Here are some pics from our trip in no particular order.

The kids and their grandparents on the Honu on our beach day in San Diego.

Here is Ais driving her very own lego car. It took her a little while to get the hang of it. Once she figured out how to make it go, she spent the rest of the time bouncing back and forth between the walls. She had a great time doing it and it was so fun to watch her doing it all herself.

The kids playing on some Lego cars.

Aisling showing Darth Vader what's up. She says even though you are weilding a light saber, you can still point your toes.

Xander and Ais on a Lego thomas train. Xander was particularly excited to see Thomas.

Ais and Grammy on a fun boat ride.

Here we are at the zoo.

My cute little butterfly and caterpillar.

Xander showing off the Tigers. He really liked seeing them up close. He is such an animal lover.

Aisling getting up close with a Polar Bear. It was so fun to watch the Polar Bear so close. Ais got a big kick out of it.

One of the highlights of the trip was feeding a Giraffe. It was really cool. Aisling even held the biscuit herself. Xander loved being so close to the big guys. He loves giraffes. It was really cool.

Here Ais is right after pretending to be a Giraffe. She even stuck her tongue out after like the giraffe did.

The Hippo was also really cool. The kids got to see him face to face. Xander got a little nervous and ran the other way when it got too close, but they both thought it was pretty cool
